At the Global Proteome Machine Organization (called the "GPM" below), an important part of our commitment to provide you with service excellence is our respect for your right to privacy. Keeping our users' information and affairs in strict confidence is a cornerstone of our mission. The range of products and services we offer our users continues to expand, and the technology we use continues to change. But, no matter how our mission changes, we'll always protect your privacy. The policies and procedures that we practise in order to protect your privacy are in place across GPM. In the following, we describe these policies and procedures and how we put them into practice so that you have control over how we collect, use and disclose your information. Protecting your Privacy Means: we keep your information in strict confidence: your information is not sold and you have control over how we obtain, use, and give out information about you.

Our Privacy Policies Protect All of Our users. When you first become a GPM user, we do not store or track any information about your use of the material available on our sites, other than information required to ensure the overall security of the site. Web server logs and FTP site logs are kept for security monitoring purposes: they will never be used to derive contact information or to compile any type of users list. Any user who wishes to contribute information for the improvement or modification of the GPM will only be identified with their written permission. The results of any use of the GPM are the sole property of the user and they cannot be used by the GPM staff for any purpose other than to monitor the correct operation of the software on any GPM computer.
